This is Boos

Hi there.. okay, so lots of posts today, but I have to catch you up. So, last September I shockingly found out that I was pregnant. What the??!?! That was my initial reaction. I took my time in telling people that I was pregnant.. My mom was the first to find out... she found out over the phone. That wasn't the way I planned it, just the way it happened. She was going to book a family cruise and I told her I couldn't go.. she immediately guessed that I was pregnant! Doh!...mothers. Now, I was far from the "ooooh I am pregnant, how exciting" bit, I was more like.. "how many more times can I barf??" Bleck!
Well, my best friend Kirk (you'll learn more about him later), stepped in as the Mr. Father figure. He went to my most important appointments with me, including the one we found out that she was (is) a girl. (see boo boo's first pic above).
Well, I was active throughout my whole pregnancy. I worked full time and worked on my Masters degree. I also took just a few trips... Hawaii, San Diego, San Fran, Paris, Kentucky and Tokyo. I also did some fun stuff like rode a calm roller coaster... okay it was supposed to be calm... and I went sledding. I was careful! ..I'll see if I can find the video.
Anyhow, I really don't think I was really really aware that I was pregnant, I guess you could say I was in a bit of denial. Even nine days after her due date, as I rolled my own suit case into the hospital (yes, I took myself to the hospital... long story) I was still in denial...I was excited, but just like "oh ya, I am having a kid" .. anyway, it is hard to explain.
Oh... check the prego picture out. This was taken on May 7th, the day I thought Sophia would be born... her due date was May 1st by the way!
Okay... so flash to the day of birth... I drove myself to the hospital to be induced. I was not dilated one darn bit! Even that morning (May 9th). Ohhhhh, but after two little pills by the mouth I was ready to pop the kid out! No one could believe it. Luckily I was given an epideral before they checked me.. when they checked I was a 9+ and ready to roll. lol. Okay, so Kirk, my mom and my brother Frank were in the room with me. Kirk was the super supporter wiping my brow and cheering me on. My mom was a super cheerleader too! Frank, well he was in the corner practically shaking in fear. lol. Well, at least that is what I have in my head as what he was doing.
