my baby nephew Kenny was a senior in highschool.. yikes!! He wants to be a pilot when he grows up.... you know years and years from now. lol. Okay, so he is almost 19, but I think of him as the little kid that used to run into my arms (boo hoo, I miss those days). Alright, back to the point. I told Kenny he should consider the
flight program at Westminster College... I didn't think he would take me seriously. I mean the kid is from Texas, Texans don't move to Utah. Anyhow, flash forward to last weekend and Kenny and his friend Taylor moved from San Antonio, Texas into my luxurious basement in Salt Lake City, Utah. Okay, so it is far from luxurious, but it is much better than it used to be. Honestly, I love having them at my house. Maybe we are in the honeymoon phase, but it is great having people around quite often (I have lived alone for the past 3 years). I have very few rules.. mainly1- No dirty dishes in the sink.
2- I am not your mother--don't make me ask twice
3. If something needs to be done i.e. taking out the trash or mowing the lawn, just do it!
4. If you are going to
be home super late, send a text.5. If you drink, don't drive.
Okay okay, so you get the point. Pretty basic stuff.
I am excited to watch these kids (they are almost 19, so I am sure they love that term) grow up and become independent men. Yikes! Men. Okay.. guys .. independent guys.
