Conrad and I went to Detroit for an open house at the Detroit Mercy Dental School. Now, I have heard a lot of crazy scary things about Detroit, but guess what? It isn't that bad! We had a fantastic time! As soon as we landed we drove straight to the Ford Museum. It was amazing! We saw the car that President Kennedy was riding in when he was killed. We wandered around and gawked at every type of transportation possible, including a huge train. We also had a paper airplane making/flying contest.. I won!! The museum also had a "Your Place in Time" exhibit that was divided into generations. Y

a ya ya, Conrad is not in my generation...It was embarrassing... here is an example Tonya: "hey, there is a Speak and Spell... we had one of those.. did you?".. Conrad "I have heard of them, not sure I have seen one". This happened on other things like Simon. Actually, this happens all the time. ANYWAY, the museum was great! We followed my brother's instructions and ate at a hole in the wall bar called Miller's bar. They have four things on the menu: hamburger, cheeseburger, fries and onion rings. The food was really good. It might have been that we were starving too. Who knows! We stayed at the Marriott at Renaissance center. It is in the same building as GM's headquarters. The place was huge! It was also a beautiful hotel right on the river. On day two we found (were directed to) a great breakfast place. At firs

t I was afraid we had been given bum directions because we walked and walked and walked and ended up by the bus station, yikes! Luckily right when I was doubting things we saw the sign. Now, from the outside this place looked like a dump, but it was really nice inside. Conrad had a cube of French toast stuffed cream cheese and apples, he also tried

grits. I had a Greek fritata and potatoes. So good! Oh, of course we had a couple of mimosas to wash things down. Yum! Our tour of the dental school was great. It definitely solidified Conrad's dre

am of going to dental school. I was so impressed I wanted to go there! That evening we went to Greek Town for dinner. I got nervous while we walked down the street. We were all dressed up and there were homeless people everywhere. I just felt like a target. We went in to the first place I saw, which was a pizza place. Then we ended up having cheesesteak sandwiches. Man, they were good! We had an early flight (6:40 a.m.)the next morning so we didn't stay out late at all. When we got to the airport we volunteered to get bumped off of the flight and wait for the 12:05 p.m. flight. Big deal, five hours, right? For our sacrifice we EACH received $14 in food vouchers and $600 in flight vouchers. I am now figuring out where we will go next. =)
**** As Chuck, aka Conrad, pointed out in his comment I forgot the funniest story of all. So there we were enjoying our great egg and French toast breakfast. We switched plates half way (well in my case 1/3 of the way and Conrad's case 2/3 of the way) so that I could try Conrad's French toast and visa versa. I really enjoyed the French toast and Conrad was loving the fritata when all of a sudden he bit something hard and tried to work it out of his mouth. I couldn't figure out what it could be.. it is not like there would be a stray bullet in the eggs.. When he pulled it out I was amazed! It was the black pearl from the ring I was wearing! It came loose and just slipped into my eggs. We are lucky he didn't crack his tooth! I mean that thing is hard! lol.

You forgot to mention how you tried to break my tooth by slipping your pearl into your eggs before we traded plates.
