Sophia and I were lucky enough to go on yet another cruise. This was Sophia's fourth cruise and was a seven day cruise to the Mexican Riviera on RCCL's Mariner of the Seas. My mom booked this trip soley because of the cabin she purchased... a mini suite off the back of the ship. We were all extremely excited about the room. On Thanksgiving my mom was yelling "Tonya come here and look at this, see if I am seeing something wrong".. ugh that was the last thing I wanted to do because I was so busy with dinner. I reluctantly went upstairs and found my mom staring at our room number on the ship. Next to the number it said "Royal Family Suite", a two bedroom, two bath monster of a suite!

The suite lived up to it's name. In fact, I spent more time in the room on this cruise than I have on any other. It was just so comfortable. We went to the three main ports: Cabo, Puerto Vallarta and Mazatlan. We shopped around the ports, but didn't do much else. We have been to these places several times and weren't up to venturing out, as this was our relaxing vacation of the year. Plus, it isn't fun to go to far with Sophia, as she doesn't handle the heat too well (she must take after Uncle Frank).
The ship itself was really beautiful. It was huge! I took advantage of some of the activities like basketball, ice skating and hot tubing. Sophia and I went to the kids club a few times, but it was a little too babyish for her. It was set up with Fisher Price toys that were suited for 6-9 month olds. She spent her days walking around with me and of course watching Nemo in the room. Our suite came with the oh so coveted Concierge Lounge key. The lounge was a great place to relax, and provided all of the alcohol you could possibly consume. I definitely
The food on the ship was great. I am sure I gained some weight. Sophia did great in the dining room with the assistance of the balloon maker guy and my ipod (she watched a "boopie" i.e. Madagascar 2 every night). My dad generally watched Sophia after dinner so that my mom and I could enjoy a cocktail and chocolate covered strawberries at the lounge. My dad did go to the lounge too.. we just rotated.
It was really hard to leave this ship. I mean really hard! Thank you mom for the best cruise ever! ahhh.
